There was no surprise when 11th ranked BBC Nyon (3-10) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Massagno (8-5) 89-81 on Saturday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Massagno made 7 blocks. The former international swingman Dusan Mladjan (198-86, agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 19 points for the winners and Montenegrin forward Slobodan Miljanic (200-90, college: Lynn) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side Senegalese power forward Cheikh Sane (207-92, college: Marshall) responded with 11 points and 7 rebounds and Senegalese forward Maleye NDoye (202-80, college: Furman) scored 13 points and 4 assists.
