PINKK-Pecsi can celebrate finally their first win this season after 12 consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Budapest, where they defeated BEAC-Ujbuda (1-12) 85-79. BEAC-Ujbuda was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Shenita Landry (190-87, college: Temple, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds. German guard Emma Stach (175-96, college: Gonzaga, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) contributed with 17 points and 5 assists for the winners. Canadian center Abigail Fogg (196-94, college: S.Dakota, agency: LBM Management) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Anna Lakloth (181-88) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists in the effort for BEAC-Ujbuda. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BEAC-Ujbuda's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. PINKK-Pecsi left bottom position moving up to eleventh place, which they share with BEAC Ujbuda. It was BEAC-Ujbuda's tenth loss in a row. PINKK-Pecsi will play against higher ranked TFSE-MTK (#5) in Budapest in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. BEAC-Ujbuda will play at home against the league's leader Sopron Basket (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
