Regular Season Round 19: Enisey-2 - MBA-2 77-71

Bottom-ranked Enisey-2 managed to get a fourth victory on Thursday night. This time they won against fifth-ranked MBA-2 in Krasnoyarsk 77-71. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of MBA-2. MBA-2 trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 22-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 71-77 at the end of the game. Enisey-2 made 25-of-30 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. 25 personal fouls committed by MBA-2 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Forward Dmitriy Sonko (196-1) fired 22 points for the winners. Ivan Vashchenko chipped in 16 points and 4 steals. Enisey-2's coach Sergei Bukarev used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Andrey Malinin (203-2) produced 18 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Egor Pokinko (185-2) added 10 points, 5 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals respectively for lost side. Four MBA-2 players scored in double figures. Enisey-2 maintains twelfth place with 4-20 record. Newly promoted MBA-2 keeps the fifth position with 12 games lost. Enisey-2 are again looking forward to face higher ranked MBA-2 (#5) in Moscow in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MBA-2 will have a break next round.
