Regular Season Round 15: Atomeromu - Alba 109-80

Rather expected game in Paks where 5th ranked Alba (8-7) was crushed by third ranked Atomeromu (11-4) 109-80 on Saturday. Atomeromu forced 20 Alba turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Shannon Evans-II (185-94, college: ASU) who scored 23 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. His fellow American import forward Orlando Coleman (196-92, college: Texas Southern) chipped in 25 points. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Markis McDuffie (203-97, college: Wichita St.) who recorded 20 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian guard Marko Ljubicic (195-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 7 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Alba's coach Jesus Ramirez gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Atomeromu have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 11-4 record having just three points less than leader Falco-Vulcano. Loser Alba dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. They share it with DEAC. Atomeromu will meet bottom-ranked JP-Auto JKSE (#14) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Alba will play against PVSK-Veolia (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
