PBL top team - UMMC Ekaterinburg (11-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Dynamo NR (5-7) in Novosibirsk 99-62. UMMC Ekaterinburg dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Dynamo NR's 36 and made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Dynamo NR 40-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. UMMC Ekaterinburg looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Dynamo NR's players. Bahamas-Bosnian center Jonquel Jones (198-94, college: GWU) fired 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American center Brittney Griner (203-90, college: Baylor, agency: Wasserman) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. Five UMMC Ekaterinburg players scored in double figures. UMMC Ekaterinburg's coach Miguel Mendez felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Canadian Jamie Weisner-Scott (178-94, college: Oregon St., agency: LBM Management) produced 20 points and forward Elizaveta Krymova (180-96) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. UMMC Ekaterinburg have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-0 record. Loser Dynamo NR keeps the seventh position with seven games lost.
