The game in Limassol was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Apoel (7-6) played at the court of 8th ranked AEL (2-10). Apoel managed to secure a 6-point victory 69-63 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But AEL won third quarter 20-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was also dominated by American players. Guard Michael Cuffee (195-83, college: MTSU) had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Jarvis Garrett (182-95, college: URI) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Apoel players scored in double figures. Guard Jaylin Walker (185-97, college: Kent St.) responded with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward KenDarrius Hamilton (206-96, college: Tennessee St.) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Apoel maintains fifth position with 7-6 record. AEL lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with ten games lost. Apoel will meet at home league's leader Keravnos in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. AEL's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Limassol to the arena Apollon.
