Very expected game when 9th ranked Pully (5-10) was crushed at home by second ranked Neuchatel (13-2) 102-72 on Saturday. Neuchatel dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Pully's 34. They outrebounded Pully 45-24 including a 27-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American power forward James Padgett (203-91, college: Maryland) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 20 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Dom Morris (201-90, college: Boston U.) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Five Neuchatel players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Steven Green (196-93, college: OKBU) who recorded 28 points and the former international point guard Lucas Pythoud (175-93) added 10 points and 4 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Neuchatel have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 13-2 record behind leader Fribourg. Pully lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. They share it with Lugano Tigers and Boncourt. Neuchatel will meet at home Monthey (#5) in the next round.
