We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Sankt Petersburg where 5th ranked Zenit-Farm (10-10) was defeated by sixth ranked Rusichi K. (5-15) 92-87. They made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Rusichi K. forced 24 Zenit-Farm turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Zenit-Farm helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Power forward Svyatoslav Makushkin (202-92) notched a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Roman Kazulin (187-94) supported him with 27 points. Even a double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds by power forward Sergey Balashov (206-96, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) did not help to save the game for Zenit-Farm. Oleg Starodubov (194-97) added 23 points for the hosts. Four Zenit-Farm players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted Rusichi K. maintains sixth position with 5-15 record. Zenit-Farm at the other side keeps the fifth place with ten games lost.
