We should mention about the upset which took place in Vevey, where higher ranked Vevey Riviera (6-9) lost at home to eleventh ranked BBC Nyon (5-11) 69-73 on Sunday. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese power forward Cheikh Sane (207-92, college: Marshall) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and guard Hayman Benoit (187-97) who added 15 points during the contest. Four BBC Nyon players scored in double figures. At the losing side Bosnian center Drasko Albijanic (211-86) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Kevin Madiamba (198-94, college: Roberts Wesleyan) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. BBC Nyon moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Lugano Tigers and Pully. Vevey Riviera lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with nine games lost. BBC Nyon will meet at home higher ranked Geneve Lions (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Vevey Riviera will play against the league's second-placed Neuchatel having rather not much hope for a victory.
