There was no surprise in Vidnoye where 9th ranked Sparta&K-2 V (10-18) was crushed by fourth ranked Neftyanik (20-8) 78-54 on Monday. Neftyanik dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Sparta&K-2 V's 32. Neftyanik forced 19 Sparta&K-2 V turnovers and outrebounded them 42-23 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was forward Marina Sheveleva (184-89) who scored 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Center Sofya Kornyenko (187-98) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Anna Kuznetcova who recorded 19 points and Daria Ignatova (180-0) added 8 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Neftyanik have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Dynamo-Farm. Loser Sparta&K-2 V keeps the ninth position with 18 games lost. Neftyanik will face Kazanochka (#6) at home in the next round. Sparta&K-2 V will play against Spartak St.Petersburg in Sankt Petersburg and hope to win that game.
