Fourth-ranked Temp (11-8) made lots of trouble for second ranked Spartak-Prim. (15-4) in Vladivostok on Wednesday. Spartak-Prim. managed to secure only three-point victory 96-93. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Temp. Spartak-Prim. made 27-of-31 free shots (87.1 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Spartak-Prim. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. 25 personal fouls committed by Temp helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was forward Maxim Sheleketo (204-87) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). American point guard Kwamain Mitchell (183-89, college: St.Louis) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists. The former international swingman Andrei Ivanov (196-84, agency: Alti Sport) produced 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and the former international forward Denis Levshin (201-93) added 18 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Temp's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Spartak-Prim. maintains second position with 15-4 record behind leader Samara. Temp at the other side dropped to the fifth place with eight games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Spartak-Prim. are looking forward to face Khimky-Podmoskoye (#14) in Khimki in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Temp will play at home against Spartak St.Petersburg (#15) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
