Regular Season Round 28: Parma-2 - Avtodor-2 74-71

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Avtodor-2 (19-13) against twelfth ranked Parma-2 (8-24) on Tuesday night. Visiting Avtodor-2 was edged by Parma-2 in a tough game in Perm 71-74. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Avtodor-2. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Avtodor-2 won fourth quarter 20-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Grigori Prokofiev (198-0) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and forward Aleksandr Kurov (205-0) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Yegor Bestuzhev (180-99) responded with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and guard Vadim Kharisov (191-0) scored 16 points. Avtodor-2's coach Vladimir Antsiferov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Parma-2 moved-up to eleventh place. Avtodor-2 at the other side dropped to the fourth position with 13 games lost. Parma-2 will play against league's second-placed Samara-2 at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Avtodor-2 will play against Khimki-2 having rather not much hope for a victory.
