Rather expected game in Omsk where 7th ranked Kazanochka (13-17) was defeated by fourth ranked Neftyanik (22-8) 77-70 on Wednesday. Neftyanik dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Kazanochka's 28. They outrebounded Kazanochka 47-29 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Neftyanik looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was center Sofya Kornyenko (187-98) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Elena Mishkareva (171-87) chipped in 9 points and 7 assists. Neftyanik's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Elizaveta Zaytseva (188-96) produced 18 points and 8 rebounds and guard Kseniya Kunakova (168-92) added 9 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for the guests. Four Kazanochka players scored in double figures. Neftyanik have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Dynamo-Farm. Kazanochka lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Stavropol and MBA-2. Neftyanik will meet at home Dynamo-Farm (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Kazanochka will play against UMMC Junior in Ekaterinburg and hope to secure a win.
