Very predictable result in Szeged where second ranked Kormend (15-4) beat 13th ranked Szedeak (3-16) 83-79 on Friday. It was a great evening for American forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. Canadian guard Justin Edwards (194-92, college: Kansas St.) helped adding 17 points. Four Kormend players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Morris Curry (181-87, college: Providence, agency: HMS) responded with 24 points and 6 assists and Croatian forward Ante Krapic (203-85) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Szedeak's coach Andjelko Mandic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kormend maintains second place with 15-4 record having just two points less than leader Falco-Vulcano. Szedeak lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. Kormend will meet at home KTE-Duna (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Szedeak will play against DEAC in Debrecen and hope to secure a win.
