Regular Season Round 19: Falco-Vulcano - Alba 89-63

Leader Falco-Vulcano delivered the seventeenth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 5th ranked Alba (10-9) 89-63 in Szombathely. Falco-Vulcano looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Alba's players. It was a great evening for American guard Ronald Curry (192-93, college: JMU) who led his team to a victory scoring 12 points and 7 assists. U.S. Virgin Islands forward DeQuon Lake (208-97, college: ASU) helped adding 12 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). At the losing side Serbian guard Marko Ljubicic (195-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) responded with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and naturalized Serbian Luka Markovic (196-93, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains first place with 17-2 record. Loser Alba dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. Falco-Vulcano will meet Sopron KC (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Alba will play against JP-Auto JKSE in Jaszberenyi and hope to secure a win.
