Regular Season Round 30: Parma-2 - Samara-2 70-98

The game with biggest result difference took place in Perm. Local Parma-2 (8-26) was outscored by second ranked Samara-2 (26-8) 98-70. The game was mostly controlled by Samara-2. Parma-2 was better in second period 24-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Parma-2 43-32 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Samara-2 players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. 28 personal fouls committed by Parma-2 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Forward Danila Chikarev (197-1) notched a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the effort and center Viktor Nesterov (202-99) supported him with 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Samara-2's coach Dmitry Pivtsaykin felt very confident that he used 10 players saving starting five for next games. Even 22 points and 6 rebounds by Vladislav Perevalov (190-1) did not help to save the game for Parma-2. Guard Vadim Bondarenko (194-0) added 17 points and 5 assists. Samara-2 maintains second position with 26-8 record despite having the same number of points like the leader CSKA Junior. Parma-2 at the other side keeps the eleventh place with 26 games lost. Samara-2's next round opponent will be MBA-2 (#5) in Moscow. Parma-2 will play at home against the league's leader CSKA Junior (#1) and hope to win that game.
