Wallabies can celebrate finally their first win this season after 13 consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Lausanne, where they defeated Lausanne (5-10) 86-77 on Sunday. Wallabies made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. Wallabies outrebounded Lausanne 38-22 including a 18-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Isaiah Ellis (203-95, college: Chico St., agency: Interperformances) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 17 rebounds for the winners and Bosnian point guard Bojan Sekicki (188-87) chipped in 30 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Jannik Rothrock (168-0, college: Peninsula JC) responded with 30 points, 6 assists and 5 steals and forward Titouan Vannay (190-99) scored 23 points. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Wallabies maintains ninth place with 1-13 record. Loser Lausanne dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Wallabies will meet at home league's leader Villars in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lausanne will play against the league's second-placed GC Zurich (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
