Regular Season Round 13: Keravnos - ENAD 109-75

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Nicosia: Keravnos (#2) and ENAD (#7). Keravnos (9-3) crushed visiting ENAD (0-11) by 34 points 109-75. The game was mostly controlled by Keravnos. ENAD was better in fourth quarter 21-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 94 of its points in the paint compared to ENAD's 60. They outrebounded ENAD 49-33 including 17 on the offensive glass. Keravnos players were unselfish on offense dishing 36 assists comparing to just 22 passes made by ENAD's players. Power forward Stephanie Nicolas (188-89) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and guard Chryso Constantinou (172-93) accounted for 18 points, 13 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals. Center Maria Kalianou (183-98) came up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Charalambia Kalianou (170-99) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for ENAD in the defeat. Five Keravnos and four ENAD players scored in double figures. Keravnos have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 9-3 record having just one point less than leader C2S AEL. ENAD at the other side still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Keravnos' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Nicosia to the arena .
