Regular Season Round 19: DEAC - PVSK-Veolia 89-59

Another exciting game was played in Debrecen between seventh ranked DEAC and 4th placed PVSK-Veolia where host DEAC (11-8) rolled over PVSK-Veolia (10-8) with 30-point difference 89-59. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of PVSK-Veolia. DEAC dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to PVSK-Veolia's 16. They outrebounded PVSK-Veolia 44-25 including a 37-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. DEAC players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Stefan Moody (179-93, college: Ole Miss) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international power forward Adam Toth (206-89) contributed with 17 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four DEAC players scored in double figures. DEAC's coach Adrian Kovacs felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Quincy Diggs (198-90, college: Akron, agency: Mansfield and Associates) answered with 21 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and the other American import guard Christopher Smith (193-94, college: Utah St., agency: 3Eye) added 14 points in the effort for PVSK-Veolia. DEAC have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Szolnok. PVSK-Veolia at the other side dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. They share it with ZTE KK. DEAC will play against Szedeak (#13) in Szeged in the next round and are hoping to win another game. PVSK-Veolia will play at home against ZTE KK (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
