Regular Season Round 21: Apollon - Keravnos 58-72

An interesting game for Keravnos (16-2) which played road game in Limassol against 3rd placed Apollon (13-6). Second ranked Keravnos managed to get a 14-point victory 72-58. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Apollon. The game was mostly controlled by Keravnos. Apollon managed to win fourth quarter 14-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Keravnos forced 20 Apollon turnovers. It was a good game for the former international power forward Anthony King (206-85, college: Miami, FL) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). American point guard Ahmaad Rorie (185-95, college: Montana) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American center Malik Hines (208-96, college: McNeese St.) answered with 21 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and the former international point guard Stefanos Iliadis (185-94, college: S.Florida) added 7 points and 5 assists in the effort for Apollon. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with AEK Larnaca. Apollon at the other side keeps the third place with six games lost. Keravnos is looking forward to face E.N. Paralimni (#4) at home in the next round. Apollon will play against the league's second-placed AEK Larnaca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
