The game in Nicosia was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Omonia (7-12) played at the court of seventh ranked Etha (7-11). Etha defeated Omonia 83-71 on Wednesday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Omonia. Omonia was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Omonia 39-28 including 33 on the defensive glass. American players dominated also this game. Power forward Reginald Kissoonlal (211-96, college: Marian, IN) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and center Damontre Harris (208-91, college: Campbellsville) accounted for 19 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Kissoonlal is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Nate Britt (185-94, college: UNC) came up with 25 points and 6 rebounds and point guard David Nichols (183-96, college: FSU) added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Omonia in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Etha moved-up to sixth place. Loser Omonia dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost. Etha will meet AEL (#8) in the next round. Omonia will have a break next round.
