Regular Season Round 19: Pully - Swiss Central 74-70

Date: February 15, 2020
There was no surprise when 12th ranked Swiss Central (2-17) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Pully (6-12) 74-70. Pully dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Swiss Central's 28. 24 personal fouls committed by Swiss Central helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Garrius Holloman (198-89, college: Beth.-Cookman) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import center Elston Jones (205-95, college: UC Irvine) accounted for 15 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side. Holloman is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Pully players scored in double figures. Cameroonian forward Harding NaNa (203-81, college: Delaware) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and American point guard RJ Price (183-93, college: Radford) added 22 points respectively for Swiss Central in the defeat. Pully moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Starwings and Vevey Riviera. Swiss Central lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Pully's next round opponent will be higher ranked Geneve Lions (#3) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Swiss Central will play against Boncourt (#6) and hope to win that game.
