Sixth-ranked Boncourt (7-12) made lots of trouble for second ranked Neuchatel (17-2) on Saturday. The visitors from Neuchatel managed to secure only two-point victory 78-76. However their fans expected much easier game. American guard Marquis Jackson (189-94, college: Ohio Christian) fired 19 points and 4 assists for the winners. His fellow American import forward Dominic Morris (201-90, college: Boston U.) chipped in 6 points and 11 rebounds. Neuchatel's coach Daniel Goethals used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Xavier Ford (203-93, college: Buffalo) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and Lithuanian power forward Dainius Chatkevicius (206-95, college: Evansville, agency: Agency) added 18 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Neuchatel have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain second place with 17-2 record having just one point less than leader Fribourg. Boncourt at the other side keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. Neuchatel are looking forward to face BBC Nyon (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Boncourt will play against Swiss Central (#12) in Luzern and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
