Regular Season Round 19: NKE-Csata - Miskolc 77-73

The game between Top Four teams took place in Budapest. Third ranked host NKE-Csata (14-4) defeated their biggest opponent Miskolc (13-4) 77-73. It ended at the same time the eight-game winning streak of Miskolc. It was a key game for the second position in the league. NKE-Csata looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American Emma Cannon (190-89, college: UCF) who led her team to a victory scoring 17 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Her fellow American import forward Megan Gustafson (190-96, college: Iowa) helped adding 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. At the losing side Serbian Maja Skoric (185-89) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists and Chilean center Ziomara Morrison (194-89) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Miskolc's coach Laszlo Cziczas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. NKE-Csata moved-up to second place. Miskolc at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. NKE-Csata are looking forward to face Atomeromu (#3) in Szekszard in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Miskolc will play on the road against PINKK-Pecsi and is hoping to win this game.
