Regular Season Round 20: PINKK-Pecsi - Miskolc 70-96

There was no surprise when 12th ranked PINKK-Pecsi (1-17) was crushed at home by fourth ranked Miskolc (14-4) 96-70 on Saturday. Miskolc made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 PINKK-Pecsi turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Miskolc especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Shatori Walker-Kimbrough (180-96, college: Maryland) who helped to win the game recording 31 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Serbian Maja Skoric (185-89) who added 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Five Miskolc players scored in double figures. Miskolc's coach Laszlo Cziczas felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American forward Shenita Landry (190-87, college: Temple, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and Serbian point guard Sanja Mandic (178-95) scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Miskolc moved-up to third place. PINKK-Pecsi lost fifth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 17 lost games. Miskolc will meet at home league's leader Sopron Basket in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. PINKK-Pecsi's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Pecs to the arena PEAC-Pecs.
