The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Spartak-Prim. as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Samara) loss. Spartak-Prim. smashed 16th ranked Novosybirsk in Vladivostok 104-56. Spartak-Prim. players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Novosybirsk's players. They brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Maxim Sheleketo (204-87) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 7 rebounds and guard Alexandr Shcherbenev (188-0) who added 13 points and 10 assists during the contest. Five Spartak-Prim. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Aleksandr Razumov (203-92) with 6 points and 8 rebounds and American point guard Supreme Hannah (181-94, college: Daemen) scored 6 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Spartak-Prim. (19-4) have an impressive six-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Samara. Novosybirsk at the other side stay at the bottom place with 18 games lost. Novosybirsk will play next round against strong Burevestnik trying to get back on the winning streak. Spartak-Prim. will try to continue on its current victory against eleventh ranked Ufimets Ufa on the road.
