Regular Season Round 14: ENAD - Anagennises 34-98

Bottom-ranked ENAD (0-12) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 98-34 loss to fifth ranked Anagennises (6-6) in Nicosia. The game without a history. Anagennises led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding ENAD to just 4 points in third quarter. Anagennises dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to ENAD's 22. Anagennises forced 48 ENAD turnovers and outrebounded them 53-40 including a 26-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by ENAD's players. American guard Tatiana Wayne (168-96, college: Columbus St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 39 points (!!!), 15 rebounds, 7 assists and 9 steals. Power forward Ioanna-Ainta Soupra (181-98) contributed with 19 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Four Anagennises players scored in double figures. Center Maria Kalianou (183-98) replied with 6 points and 16 rebounds and point guard Charalambia Kalianou (170-99) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for ENAD. Anagennises have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Etha. ENAD at the other side still closes the standings with 12 games lost.
