Sixth-ranked MBA-2 (18-18) gave a tough game to second ranked Samara-2 (28-8) on Tuesday. Samara-2 managed to secure only one-point victory 61-60. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 14-9 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Danila Chikarev (197-1) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 rebounds and center Mikhail Ermilov (201-99) who added 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Forward Maxim Kuzemkin (200-2) responded with 6 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Andrey Malinin (205-2) scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 blocks. Samara-2 have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 28-8 record behind leader CSKA Junior. MBA-2 lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Unics-2. Samara-2 are looking forward to face Spartak-Prim.-2 (#11) in Vladivostok in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MBA-2 will play on the road against Avtodor-2 (#4) in Saratov and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
