Second Stage Round 6: Arsenal - Tambov 69-85

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Tula. Second ranked Tambov faced one of their biggest challengers Arsenal. Guests from Tambov (8-6) defeated host Arsenal (6-8) 85-69. Tambov dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Arsenal's 24. Tambov forced 20 Arsenal turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Arsenal helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Center Roman Zagretdinov (208-96) notched 21 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Anton Ageev (191-84) supported him with 15 points. Even 28 points by point guard Andrei Kuzemkin (184-87, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) did not help to save the game for Arsenal. Guard Ilya Sinkevich (194-91) added 11 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tambov maintains second position with 8-6 record having just three points less than leader AltajBasket. Arsenal at the other side dropped to the third place with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
