Very expected game when 11th ranked BBC Nyon (6-14) lost on the road to second ranked Neuchatel (18-2) 69-62 on Saturday. Neuchatel forced 24 BBC Nyon turnovers. American guard Marquis Jackson (189-94, college: Ohio Christian) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 assists and 6 steals. The other American import swingman Isaiah Williams (201-92, college: Iona) contributed with 7 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Neuchatel players scored in double figures. Neuchatel's coach Daniel Goethals used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Senegalese power forward Cheikh Sane (207-92, college: Marshall) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Senegalese forward Maleye NDoye (202-80, college: Furman) added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for BBC Nyon. Neuchatel have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 18-2 record having just one point less than leader Fribourg. Newly promoted BBC Nyon dropped to the tenth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Lugano Tigers. Neuchatel are looking forward to face league's leader Fribourg on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BBC Nyon will play against Boncourt (#6) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
