Regular Season Round 22: Keravnos - E.N. Paralimni 81-61

OPAP Basket League top team - Keravnos (17-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked E.N. Paralimni (9-11) in Strovolos 81-61. The game was mostly controlled by Keravnos. E.N. Paralimni was better in third quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded E.N. Paralimni 43-32 including 28 on the defensive glass. Keravnos players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Keaton Grant (193-86, college: Purdue) notched 26 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Roderick Odom (205-91, college: Vanderbilt, agency: 3Eye) supported him with 22 points and 7 rebounds. Keravnos' coach Christoforos Livadiotis allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists by swingman Dalan Ancrum (198-96, college: W.Illinois) did not help to save the game for E.N. Paralimni. Guard Nick Griffin (188-95, college: St.Peter's) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Defending champion maintains first position with 17-2 record, which they share with AEK Larnaca. E.N. Paralimni lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 11 games lost. Keravnos will play against Apoel (#4) in Nicosia in the next round. E.N. Paralimni will play at home against the league's second-placed AEK Larnaca and hopes to get back on the winning track.
