Second Stage Round 3: Sparta&K MR - UMMC 54-118

An interesting game for UMMC Ekaterinburg (17-0) which played road game in Vidnoye against Spartak Vidnoye (9-9). UMMC Ekaterinburg had an easy win 118-54. UMMC Ekaterinburg dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Spartak Vidnoye's 34. UMMC Ekaterinburg forced 25 Spartak Vidnoye turnovers and outrebounded them 44-25 including a 37-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for UMMC Ekaterinburg especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Spartak Vidnoye's players. It was a great evening for American forward Breanna Stewart (193-94, college: UConn, agency: Wasserman) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. International power forward Raisa Musina (191-98) helped adding 23 points and 8 rebounds. Five UMMC Ekaterinburg players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was international point guard Kseniia Levchenko (167-96) with 12 points and power forward Anastasiia Komarova (186-99) scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UMMC Ekaterinburg will play against Dynamo Kursk at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Spartak Vidnoye will have a break next round.
