Fifth ranked Uralmash (15-9) crushed at home 8th ranked Runa Basket (11-13) by 28 points 90-62, which is the biggest margin this round on Wednesday night. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Runa Basket. They outrebounded Runa Basket 36-17 including a 25-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Uralmash especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Power forward Maxim Krivosheev (207-88) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and point guard Igor Novikov (192-92) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Uralmash players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Addison Spruill (195-93, college: UNCW, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) responded with 16 points and Montenegrin-Qatari forward Alen Hadzibegovic (207-99, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Uralmash moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Vostok-65. Newly promoted Runa Basket dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. Uralmash's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Ekaterinburg Ural Ekaterinburg.
