Regular Season Round 40: Rostov - Neftyanik 69-75

Top ranked BC Rostov (35-3) recorded its third loss at the home court on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Neftyanik (27-11) 75-69. It ended at the same time the 15-game winning streak of BC Rostov. Forward Marina Sheveleva (184-89) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Center Sofya Kornyenko (187-98) chipped in 20 points. Neftyanik's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International power forward Anna Zaitceva (183-99) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and guard Irina Miroshnikova (177-98) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four BC Rostov players scored in double figures. Neftyanik maintains fourth position with 27-11 record. BC Rostov at the other side still keeps top place with three games lost. Neftyanik are looking forward to face Stavropol (#5) on the road in the next round. BC Rostov will play against UMMC Junior (#11) and is hoping to win this game.
