An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Nicosia. First ranked Keravnos faced 4th placed Apoel. Guests from Strovolos (18-2) defeated host Apoel (10-11) 95-80. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Apoel. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 47-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Keravnos looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The game was dominated by American players. Four Keravnos and five Apoel players scored in double figures. Apoel's coach Nicolas Papadopoulos rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Keravnos have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 18-2 record, which they share with AEK Larnaca. Apoel at the other side keeps the fourth position with 11 games lost. Keravnos is looking forward to face Etha (#5) in Nicosia in the next round. Apoel will play on the road against the league's second-placed AEK Larnaca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
