Regular Season Round 20: Atomeromu - Kaposvari 91-65

Date: March 7, 2020
The game between third ranked Atomeromu (13-7) and 12th ranked Kaposvari (7-14) in Paks on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Atomeromu outscored guests from Kaposvar 91-65. The winners were led by American guard Shannon Evans-II (185-94, college: ASU) who scored that evening 19 points and 4 assists and the other American import guard Omar Calhoun (198-93, college: UConn) supported him with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Five Atomeromu players scored in double figures. Atomeromu's coach Branislav Dzunic felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 13 points and 6 rebounds by American guard Julian Norfleet (188-91, college: Mt.St.Mary's) did not help to save the game for Kaposvari. The former international power forward Roland Hendlein (206-86) added 7 points and 14 rebounds for the guests. Atomeromu maintains third position with 13-7 record having four points less than leader Falco-Vulcano. Kaposvari lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 14 games lost. Atomeromu will meet Oroszlany (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. Kaposvari will play against PVSK-Veolia and hope to secure a win.
