Second Stage Round 8: Rusichi K. - Dynamo STV 87-92

Superleague 2 top team - Dynamo STV (18-4) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked Rusichi K. (8-14) in Kursk 92-87. Dynamo STV dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Rusichi K.'s 44. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Guard Aleksey Makarov (192-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Power forward Rostislav Karenin (204-94) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Aleksey Almushev (198-90) replied with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Svyatoslav Makushkin (202-92) added 19 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) in the effort for Rusichi K.Four Rusichi K. players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Dynamo STV maintains first position with 18-4 record. Rusichi K. lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth place with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
