Very expected game when 14th ranked JP-Auto JKSE (2-18) lost to eighth ranked Alba (11-9) in Jaszberenyi 82-95 on Saturday. Alba shot 61.9 percent from the field. Alba outrebounded JP-Auto JKSE 34-22 including 28 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by Serbian guard Marko Ljubicic (195-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists and American guard Carlton Guyton (193-90, college: Kent St., agency: HMS) supported him with 19 points. Alba's coach Jesus Ramirez used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by American forward Brandon Penn (203-90, college: Rider) did not help to save the game for JP-Auto JKSE. His fellow American import guard Ian Baker (185-93, college: N.Mexico St.) added 20 points, 8 assists and 4 steals for the hosts. Five Alba and four JP-Auto JKSE players scored in double figures. Alba moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Szolnok. Loser JP-Auto JKSE stay dead last with 18 lost games. Alba will meet at home league's second-placed Kormend in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. JP-Auto JKSE will play against the league's leader Falco-Vulcano (#1) in Szombathely and hope to secure a win.
