Very important is a road loss of second ranked Tambov (8-7) against sixth ranked Dynamo-MGTU (6-9) on Sunday night. Visiting Tambov was defeated by Dynamo-MGTU in a tough game in Maykop 87-96. The best player for the winners was forward Ivan Feshchenko (201-91, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who scored 29 points and 6 rebounds. Center Yuriy Kochnev (209-89) chipped in 15 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Vasiliy Gladyshev (189-83) produced 15 points and 4 assists and point guard Vladimir Chichaykin (187-91) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tambov's coach Oleg Ugumnov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Dynamo-MGTU moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Irkut. Loser Tambov keeps the second position with seven games lost. Dynamo-MGTU will again meet at home league's second-placed Tambov in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tambov will have a break next round.
