Bottom-ranked Dynamo Moscow (0-21) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 72-39 loss to sixth ranked MBA (11-10) in Moscow. They held Dynamo Moscow to an opponent 21.7 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.6 percent accuracy of the winners. MBA forced 22 Dynamo Moscow turnovers. International Anna Leshovceva (181-87) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points and 6 rebounds. International point guard Elizaveta Komarova (172-95, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 11 points for the winners. Five MBA players scored in double figures. Forward Ekaterina Chistyakova (184-89) answered with 8 points and 8 rebounds and Natalya Potemina (185-88) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Dynamo Moscow. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for MBA. They maintain sixth place with 11-10 record. Dynamo Moscow lost their twenty first game in a row. They still close the standings. MBA will play against Dynamo NR (#7) in Novosibirsk in the next round. Dynamo Moscow will play at home against Spartak Noginsk and hopes to get finally their first victory.
