Very expected game in Vladivostok where 11th ranked Spartak-Prim.-2 (10-32) was crushed by third ranked Khimki-2 (26-14) 76-50 on Friday. The game without a history. Khimki-2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Spartak-Prim.-2 to just 6 points in first quarter. Khimki-2 forced 24 Spartak-Prim.-2 turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Khimki-2 especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. Center Dmitrii Karbusov (205-99) fired 6 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Daniil Medyanikov (198-99) chipped in 9 points and 7 assists. Guard Nikita Lashkov (185-0) produced 14 points and forward Sergey Grashkin (202-2) added 12 points respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Khimki-2 maintains third place with 26-14 record having nine points less than leader Samara-2. Newly promoted Spartak-Prim.-2 keeps the eleventh position with 32 games lost. Khimki-2 will meet MBA-2 (#6) in the next round. Spartak-Prim.-2 will play against Parma-2 (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
