Regular Season Round 44: Kazanochka - Rostov 66-93

Superleague 1 top team - BC Rostov (39-5) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Kazanochka (20-22) 93-66. They outrebounded Kazanochka 46-34 including 17 on the offensive glass. Center Ekaterina Osipova (187-97) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points and 9 rebounds. Power forward Alexandra Kirina (190-96) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Power forward Elizaveta Zaytseva (188-96) replied with 13 points and 8 rebounds and Mariia Popova (182-84) added 10 points and 4 assists in the effort for Kazanochka. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BC Rostov maintains first position with 39-5 record. Kazanochka at the other side keeps the fifth place with 22 games lost. They share the position with Spartak SP. BC Rostov is looking forward to face league's second-placed Dynamo-Farm in Kursk in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kazanochka will play at home against Stavropol and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
