Rather expected game when 10th ranked Sparta&K-2 V (12-30) lost to eighth ranked MBA-2 (19-23) in Moscow 62-74. MBA-2 forced 20 Sparta&K-2 V turnovers. Sparta&K-2 V was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Mariya Krymova who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 4 assists and center Vera Kuchina (195-0) who added 10 points and 5 assists during the contest. Daria Ignatova (180-0) responded with 27 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Anna Kuznetcova scored 11 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MBA-2 have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Stavropol. Sparta&K-2 V lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 30 games lost. MBA-2 will play against higher ranked Nika (#4) in Syktyvkar in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sparta&K-2 V will play on the road against Vologda-Chevakata (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
