Another interesting game for Etha which played on the court of Phoenix. Etha crushed hosts 65-39. They outrebounded Phoenix 43-27 including 30 on the defensive glass. American guard Maya Brewer (180, college: Wichita St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and point guard Ioanna Kyprianou (160-3) chipped in 9 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side Mezra Torlak (172-2) responded with 9 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Maritsa Efstathiou (168-98) scored 5 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Etha will play against Anorthosis in Larnaca in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Phoenix will play on the road against APOP Paphou and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
