Regular Season Round 2: Neftyanik - MBA-2 60-58

A very close game took place in Omsk between Neftyanik and MBA-2. Neftyanik got a very close home victory over MBA-2. Neftyanik managed to escape with a 2-point win 60-58 on Tuesday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Neftyanik dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to MBA-2's 24. Forward Marina Sheveleva (184-89) had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Sofya Kornyenko (187-98) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Center Anastasiia Bobrik (185-1) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and guard Veronika Loginova (170-3) scored 14 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Neftyanik will meet Kazanochka on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. MBA-2 will play against Rostov and hope to win that game.
