Regular Season Round 4: Atomeromu - TFSE-MTK 81-75

The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Atomeromu as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Atomeromu defeated 9th ranked TFSE-MTK in Szekszard 81-75. Atomeromu dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to TFSE-MTK's 28. Atomeromu forced 20 TFSE-MTK turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of international point guard Agnes Studer (170-98) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized Serbian center Sara Krnjic (191-91) who added 13 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. Atomeromu's coach Zeljko Djokic used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Alisia Jenkins (186-94, college: S.Florida) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and guard Reka Bernath (177-99) scored 21 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!). Atomeromu have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Sopron. TFSE-MTK at the other side keeps the ninth place with three games lost. They share the position with Ujbuda. TFSE-MTK will play next round against PEAC-Pecs trying to get back on the winning streak. Atomeromu will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Miskolc at home.
