Regular Season Round 6: ZTE NKK - Atomeromu 42-129

A Division top team - Atomeromu (5-0) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed twelfth ranked ZTE NKK (0-5) in Zalaegerszeg 129-42. Atomeromu held ZTE NKK to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 68.8 percent accuracy of the winners. Atomeromu forced 25 ZTE NKK turnovers and outrebounded them 46-19 including a 31-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by ZTE NKK's players. It was a good game for swingman Melinda Miklos (180-3) who led her team to a victory with 18 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. International forward Dorina Zele (185-92) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Atomeromu players scored in double figures. Forward Petra Szabo (184-87) replied with 8 points and 7 rebounds and Bosnian point guard Miljana Dzombeta (175-94) added 9 points in the effort for ZTE NKK. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Atomeromu have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 5-0 record. ZTE NKK at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Atomeromu are looking forward to face Uni Gyor (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ZTE NKK will play against PEAC-Pecs (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
