Regular Season Round 4: AEL - E.N. Paralimni 65-75

OPAP Basket League top team - E.N. Paralimni (4-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat eighth ranked AEL (0-3) in Limassol 75-65. The game was mostly controlled by E.N. Paralimni. AEL managed to win second period 23-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American Titus Robinson (201-90, college: Buffalo) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. The other American import swingman Dalan Ancrum (198-96, college: W.Illinois) chipped in 26 points and 5 assists. American power forward Damani Applewhite (203-97, college: SC State) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds and Puerto Rican point guard Ivan Gandia-Rosa (185-97, college: N.Florida) added 5 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists respectively for lost side. AEL's coach Dimitris Sarikas rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. E.N. Paralimni have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Loser AEL still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Apoel. E.N. Paralimni will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. AEL's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Limassol to the arena Apollon.
