Regular Season Round 7: Ujbuda - TFSE-MTK 63-78

Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Budapest: TFSE-MTK (#9) and BEAC-Ujbuda (#10). BEAC-Ujbuda was defeated at home 63-78 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. TFSE-MTK looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Alisia Jenkins (186-94, college: S.Florida) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Guard Reka Bernath (177-99) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four TFSE-MTK players scored in double figures. Dora Szabo (178-3) produced 13 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Julia Boros (175-2) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side. TFSE-MTK maintains ninth place with 2-3 record. BEAC-Ujbuda lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with five games lost. TFSE-MTK will meet at home higher ranked Cegledi (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BEAC-Ujbuda will play against Sopron (#3) and hope to win that game.
