Regular Season Round 4: Nika - Sparta&K MR 80-85

Spartak Vidnoye has registered their first victory this season after two consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Syktyvkar, where they defeated Nika (1-3) 85-80. Spartak Vidnoye players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The winners were led by Darya Repnikova (180-0) who scored that evening 17 points and 4 assists and international point guard Xeniya Levchenko (167-96) supported her with 17 points and 7 assists. Even 25 points by forward Ekaterina Ryabova (181-94) did not help to save the game for Nika. The former international Maria Cherepanova (190-87) added 12 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Nika's coach Dmitry Shumikhin rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Spartak Vidnoye went down to sixth position due to points difference, which they share with MBA. Newly promoted Nika dropped to the eighth place with three games lost. Spartak Vidnoye will play against Spartak Noginsk (#9) at home in the next round. Nika will play against the league's leader Dynamo Kursk to get more than just one victory in their record.
